Santa Cristina Val Gardena Dolomites

This cozy town offers a great location due to being in the middle of Val Gardena between Selva and Ortisei.

It offers a compact town center rich of shops, restaurants, bars and pubs and a strategical position to reach not only the Sella Ronda Circuit, but also the Summer and Winter children paradise of Monte Pana, the “gastronomic mountain highlight” Seceda with the Col Raiser and to Alpe di Siusi a skiers, cross-country and sledges paradise with breathtaking views.

The Saslong is the main cable car of Santa Cristina; witch connects to the Sellaronda and hosts the world Cup ski races in December.

It offers many cultural and artistic highlights like the giant wooden nativity scene, and the giant wooden head made by the best UNICA woodcarvers of Val Gardena Gröden. It is free visible in the town center of Santa Cristina Val Gardena / St. Christina Gröden. Beside this, you can also visit the magic spots of the Monte Pana waterfall with its “climber” artwork and the old railway path, showing the history of the legendary Railway of Val Gardena.

From Santa Cristina Val Gardena you are only a few minutes away from the towns of Selva Val Gardena and Ortisei Val Gardena, which are both reachable by walking on the old railway path approx. 30 minutes, by a few minutes by car or through the perfectly working free bus connections in both directions.

This fantastic village and its offers are garnished by the increasing number of events like the yearly Wine Festival on the red carpet, the weekly Summer Market of local farmers and artisans, selling foods and local products or the Summer Ski show, where you can see professionals skiing down the town center in the hottest summer season!
